Informed Consent started at the end of 1997 as a UK-wide BDSM listings site. Since it's run from Manchester, it's always well represented the northern scene. Recently, things have taken off so well in Greater Manchester that we've spun BDSM in Manchester ("BiM") off as a separate site - with an easy to remember URL and some event and shop reviews which don't appear on IC itself.
One of our main aims is to provide extended guides to the Shops and Club scenes which don't really fit into the listings format of Informed Consent. We've also written a Visitors' Guide for people coming to Greater Manchester with pervy intent...
