A BROTHEL keeper has today been ordered to pay a £30,000 confiscation order after a Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court.
Following an investigation by officers from Colchester, Aleksander Sochacki was convicted of managing a brothel in Colchester, and in February 2008 was given a two month prison sentence suspended for two years and ordered to carry out 150 hours of community work.
Following the case, a protracted investigation was carried out by Financial Investigators from the Serious and Organised Crime Directorate of Essex Police to identify his hidden assets.
Today, Sochacki was ordered to pay £30,000 or face an 18 month prison sentence.
