THE case against a woman accused of helping to run a brothel has been discontinued.
Jane Harvey, aged 42, of Booth Street, Newcastle, attended North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Fenton yesterday.
She was told the Crown Prosecution Service had decided to discontinue its case against her on the grounds of insufficient evidence.
She had faced an allegation that she acted or assisted in the management of a brothel in Moorland Road, Burslem, contrary to Section 33 of the Sexual Offences Act 1956.
