One of the biggest challenges I have faced as a Punter is not having had any role model whose example I could follow and "learn the ropes" from.
There is a saying it is always swifter and less painful to learn using the wisdom of others based on their experiences, rather than to learn from one's own experiences alone.
To say I started life as a Punter as pretty green, naive and unknowledgeable is an understatement! I had done plenty if Internet research and considered "taking the plunge" for what seemed like an eternity! However, the "guide to being a Punter" simply did not exist!
As I have learnt more, I am amazed at the wonderful resources available to Escorts, such as this excellent site and others like it, as well as many books. But what exists for Punters?
My education was all by experience, with the exception of a small amount of wisdom gained from reading field reports. I can certainly testify experience alone can be painful at times, although I do feel I have kept the bad experiences to a minimum by being both exacting and considered in my criteria for seeing people.
"Where does a Punter find his way?" is a question I have never found the ideal solution to! The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and to expect different results. If something worked I stuck with it, if it did not, I analysed it to seek to learn the lessons and to change my approach, which I hope has reduced my "mad" moments!
Starting out, it was easy to find many agencies, but it was hard to know which ones were the most bona fide. It was fully 6 months before I stumbled upon Adultwork (www.adultwork.com) where I have since met the majority of the ladies I have seen. Even then, it took me a while to work out how best to locate the ladies who best suited my approach.
In short, knowledge is power and there is no substitute for good and meticulous research. It is a shame there are not more resources for Punters, which is one reason I started my own blog (www.capitalpunterblog.com), not directly to educate as I appreciate I can only speak of my own experiences and I may not have the best advice to offer. No, my postings, I hope can offer Punters the opportunity to learn from my experiences and in doing so gain the wisdom I so lacked!
