We have passed the 3 year mark for the site. 23rd September 06 Southeastpunting was launched.
Iniially concentrating on the South East, members joined from all over the country. This prompted a name change to SEP, which was looked on as being less geographic. We recently rebuilt the site and with the new site a new name - TOP - The Oldest Profession.
When we started the site, we never dreamed how it would take off and where we would be 3 years on. For nearly a year now we have consistently had the most posts of any punting forum. (In the UK & Ireland, I don't know how we compare to sites in other countries)
The new site has many extra features, some of which (The Events List for example) we believe are the best on the business. We have had some teething problem, but most of these have been ironed out. We will continue to develop the site, refining existing features and adding new ones.
We have had some changes of staff over the years. This is inevitable. People's circumstances change and they can no longer give the time and commitment. All the staff give their time without financial reward and fit it in around work and their everyday lives. I would like to thank everybody, both past and present, for their time and commitment in running the site.
Over the past 3 years there have been those who have tried to bring the site down. There have been attempts to bring the server down, hack the site and so forth. There have also been individuals who have tried to suppress us by slating us elsewhere, using the power of other sites etc. Neither tactic has worked, and we have always grown stronger because of it.
Lastly, but probably most importantly, we come to the members. Any site is only as good as it's membership. Again people have come and gone, but again that's the nature of the beast. We have enjoyed a strong and active membership and it has continued to grow over the years. Thanks to everybody for their contributions and for making the site what it is today!
