A new decade has started,
I've been looking back over 2009. A lot of changes have taken place on the site over the last year.
We've changed our name from SEP to TOP in a reflection of how much the coverage of the site has changed; from a regional site to a national one.
We've updated the software for the site. The old format had expanded to it's limit. We are confident the new will be able to expand with the site and the potential is there to adapt to the changing needs of a site like this. Development of the site is a continual process.
Looking at individual areas of the site, it seems to be growing well in most areas. The forum is just short of 400,000 posts and over 100,000 posts were in 2009. Both those figures exceed those of any other punting site.
The Escort Directory has also grown significantly. When we changed to the new site back in the summer we ruthlessly cut out duplicate entries, entries in more than one category and any that it couldn't be verified as still working. We were left with just 300 entries. Whilst this effectively cut the ED in half, it was necessary. In the second half of the year it has grown to nearly 700 listings with new entries being added all the time.
Other areas have grow too.
The emphasis of the site has changed over the last year. Looking at the server stats, the emphasis of the the site has changed. A year ago the forum was the most popular part of the site. Figures suggest the Escort Directory is now more popular. That's not to say that the forum has declined in popularity, but people are also using other parts of the site a lot more.
As with any site, people come and go. People's circumstances change and they move on, other people join and take their place. By their very nature sites like this will always be in a state of flux.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their support over the last last year and wish them every happiness and prosperity for 2010.
