I've been thinking..
is it just me or are good manners dying out of lazyness?
Don't get me wrong, I myself have occasionally commited this offence, purely out of lazyness, I don't really have any other excuse.
But have you noticed now in the internet world its becoming increasinly acceptable to just hit the "delete" button without shooting off a response first?
I'm not talking about in terms of time wasters etc. I'm talking about with regards to regular companies and businesses.
I started thinking about this about 3 days ago after realising that for every 2 companies that responded with a quote as requested by me, there would be at least 3 out of 5 that I would just never get a response from.
No explaination as to why, I can only assume that they simply hit the delete button, deciding that there wasnt enough time to send a properly worded quote or even a quick email saying "we are snowed under and will get back to you in due course".
Realistically speaking it properly takes only a few seconds longer to type up a response then it does to highlight the email, hit delete and then confirm the action when your computer asks you if your sure.
